Information, Workforce Planning Tool

The health workforce planning tool (HWPT) can be used to undertake health workforce supply and demand projections by each state and territory to identify potential gaps and oversupply in Australia’s health workforce at local and national levels. The tool was originally developed by the National Health Workforce Taskforce, part of the former Health Workforce Australia.

Workforce planners can also import their own datasets into the tool via an input template.
