Quick Reference Guide

The quick reference guide introduces to the Health Workforce Data Tool (HWDT).
The HWDT contains:

• National Health Workforce Dataset (NHWDS)
• Medical Education and Training data (MET)

If the MET or NHWDS data you require is not available through the HWDT please contact us.

What it is

The HWDT is a web based self-service analytics platform that enables users to effectively report on the NHWDS and MET datasets using various fields and attributes.

How to access

New users can register at Register
Continuing users can login at Login

New user registration

Navigate to Register Complete the form:

Access the datasets

National Health Workforce Dataset (NHWDS)

NHWDS data can be accessed as shown below:

Users can click on ‘Open Table’ to access the ‘Profession_by_year’ predefined table.
The dataset will open as shown below. Click on the fields pane on the left to display the fields to build your custom table:

Note: Fields can be added or removed as needed. Custom tables can be built by dragging the required fields onto Columns, Rows or Wafers (dynamic filters).
